Entry #1 Blogs??
If we're being honest, when I first thought about writing this blog, I wasn't too excited. I'm not really big on talking, I'm a much better listener, and an even better reader. I don't know, It's like I enjoy obtaining information, but I'm not the best at giving it out. However, now that I'm actually writing, this isn't bad at all! All I had to do was simply stop thinking of it as "talking", and more as 'writing down my thoughts'. My subconscious has conversations within herself all the time, all I'm doing is typing them out. Kind of like an online diary that complete strangers have access to. Well, I guess it's not really like a diary if anyone can read it, but you get my point.
I've recently been scrolling through other Author's blogs (in attempts to get some inspiration), and I've got to say: I'm impressed. I can't believe I've never thought about getting into blogs! Craziest part is; all I do is read! I'm such an avid reader that it almost doesn't make sense for me to have never gotten into them before, never even considered it. Odd, right?
Anyways, I told my sister that I was getting into blogs, now every 2 seconds she's pitching me her idea's on what I should write about, or sending me other people's blogs and telling me how I should "be more like them". To be honest, some of the blogs she's sent me are actually hilarious! Have any of you ever heard of Fail Blogs? It's basically a bunch of story-times about normal, everyday situations somehow turning into major, awkward, fails! Fair warning, I'm already a pretty big over-thinker, so reading about how much worse situations can actually get definitely had me over-thinking times 10! Solid laughs though, you guys should go check them out! FAIL BLOGS

Unfortunately, not all blogs are as fun-filled as the Fail Blogs. There were a couple of educational ones too, pretty good if you're writing an essay and would like to hear from someone with personal experience on the topic. Then you have your typical Lifestyle Blogs, Food Blogs, Travel Blogs, Fashion Blogs, Fitness Blogs, Corporate Blogs etc., you know, the basics. Not bad honestly, I probably wouldn't keep up with them, but I can definitely see why people do this. I feel like you have to be genuinely interested in what these Author's are talking about in order to consistently keep up with their work, you know?

There were some pretty boring blogs as well; *cough*celebrity-worship-blogs*cough*. I had no idea how many people dedicate hours of their days obsessing over Boy Bands and cheesy Country artists. Now, we don't blog-shame over here, but seriously? Although, I guess people can do that on any social platform anyway, regardless - not my favorite.
I feel like it would be kind of shady to add the links of the "boring blogs", besides, my word isn't God - just because I'm not a personal fan of some of those blogs, doesn't mean that other people aren't. It's just that I feel like some Authors write like they're writing for Google instead of actual people; no images, numbers, or facts, no humor or sarcasm, no voice/personal opinions, or just overall painfully boring topics. I was complaining to my sister about how boring some of these blogs were, she responded with "eVeRYOnE'S cReAtIVe iN TheIr oWn wAy". But, no. I mean it's okay, we all have our strengths, and writing simply isn't everyone's strength. I know it's not mine. That's why America's a melting pot, you know? I'm not great at math, but nobody's ever like "Everyone's great at math, in their own way! :D"

Overall, I give blogs a solid 7.5/10. They're pretty hit or miss to be honest. Books will always have my heart, but this is pretty cool too :)
